The soothing sounds of water trickling, gurgling and tumbling over rocks creates a sense of calm and peace which is why waterfalls and fountains are so popular around our outdoor spaces.  After dark though, these beautiful features fade away into the darkness and our eyes strain to make a connection between sight and sound. One of the most dramatic items in a landscape is a carefully illuminated water feature that highlights the water dancing in the night.  Water features look better at night than they do even during the day.
