Trees are the sentinals of our garden spaces.  When we design a lighting plan for our Indianapolis clients' garden spaces, we always look to include illumination on these prominant garden members.  Tree illumination can completely change the feel of a space.  If you have large trees overhanging a back patio, directing light up into the canopies of these trees creates a warm, reflective green light that is very soothing.  Also, some trees such as river birch and paper bark maples have dramatic, exfoliating bark that looks amazing when accented with ground illumination.  Whether they are large or small, trees play a major role in the elements of a complete lighting design.
